SONATINA

STUDENT PIANO COMPETITION.

SONATINA is a student piano competition from SMAN 3 Bandung that open to young pianists ages 15 until 18 and held at Aula Baru SMAN 3 Bandung. SONATINA is an artistic expression through piano performance. 

Registration for SONATINA opens 10 November 2036.

DIVISION

-JAZZ-

(You can play two pieces from different arrangers)

-POP-

(You can play any pieces from a cartoon, movies, etc. theme song.

Ex; He's a Pirates [Pirates of Caribbean theme song] and Hedwig's Theme from Harry Potter theme song)

-CLASSIC- 

(You can play two pieces from different eras, including baroque, classical, romantic, and twentieth-century)

REQUIREMENTS

• All participants have to play two pieces for solo piano from the division they choose.
• Improvisations for classic genre are not permitted.
• Improvisations for pop genre are permitted.
•  All participants are required to provide sheet music of pieces that will be played to the judges.

PRIZES from each division

FIRST PLACE : 
5 days trip to raja ampat and rp500.000,00

SECOND PLACE :
 3 days trip to kuala lumpur and rp300.000,00

THIRD PLACE:
3 dufan tickets and rp150.000,00

First, second, and third place winners will receive medals and SONATINA trophy. All participants will receive a certificate of participation and judges’ comments.
